The praxinoscope is a similar to the zoetrope but somewhat more evolved apparatus, since the slots are replaced by a ring-shaped normally a dodecahedron. It was invented as we said before, by Émile Reynaud in 1877 The viewer looks over the drum, and the mirrors are reflected the images drawn on a paper strip placed around the drum. As a result the person observes an animated sequence in which the images are merged and manage animated effect. The invention received an honorable mention in the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1878. All our praxinoscope are recreations of those originals. In the handmade only use similar components to those then used (cardboard, wood, metal) rejecting the plastic in its composition components. With the exception of the mirrors, which for reasons of safety childrem can not be made of glass, the remaining product corresponds closely to praxinoscopes of that time.
